A friend of mine who shall remain nameless, jokes me for maintaining this blog. I know there really isn’t a theme to it like some of my other blogs, instead it is more of a personal journal.

Well, for all of those who wonder why they should blog, let me introduce you to the Waiter. “The Waiter” as he refers to himself, writes an annoymous blog about life as a career waiter in a Bistro in NYC. His writing style is eloquent and his stories are usually a good insight to the realities of how truly pathetic people act in public. From misbehaving kids to your average rude Yuppie, the Waiters stories’ do not always shine a negative light which makes his writings so interesting.

Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks his writings are interesting. His website traffic is among the top 20,000 according to Alexa.com (for a comparison this site is ranked about 143,000), he also gets an obscene amount of comments on each post he writes. I am happy to get 1 comment on my posts, his last post had 441 comments.

Large amounts of fans and traffic is not the only beneficial thing of a succesful blog, Waiter also just got a book deal from well-known publisher, Harper Collins.
