Plea to the ACC: "Please Leave Jacksonville"
In a move that surprises me because it actually takes some thought, ACC commisioner John Swofford is debating on wether or not to keep the ACC Football Championship in Jacksonville. It should be in Charlotte. If I had to take a guess the only reason Jacksonville bid so high for the game was because they expected one of the Florida schools (Miami and FSU) to be playing in that game every year. But with Bowden struggling to keep FSU above water and Miami too busy fighting their new rival Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville played host to a 1/2 full stadium as Wake Forest and Ga Tech battled it out.
There is no reason why the game shouldn’t be in Charlotte EVERY year. With NC State, UNC, Duke, Wake, UVA, Ga Tech, VaTech, and Clemson within 5 hours drive of the Queen City, there is no reason to have the game elsewhere (And the ACC Tourny for that matter). Its the logical decision, but with those running the ACC, that is not always the easy decision.

I agree 1000percent. The whole conferance is screwed up because everyone knows it was set up for the Florida teams.
Example: Virginia and Virginia Tech in same division. Florida State and Miami in differant divisions. What the heck is Boston College doing in the Southern most division.
The Championship game in a state wher only two of the twelve teams reside.
