The State of Football in North Carolina
This is ACC country, Tobacco Road, basketball mecca, but some of still like football. It just so happens that the ENTIRE state sucks. I don’t know what the problem is but frankly I do not like it. Can’t we at least have one team that doesn’t suck walrus schlong?!!?
This is how the weekend in NC went for its football teams:
NC State - this has a whole seperate rant coming but Chuck and his boys got beat. At home. After leading late in the 4rth. By AKRON!
Wake Forest - The only team in NC that is 2 - 0 had to come from behind in the 2nd half and block a 20 yard field goal as time expired to beat DUKE, 14 - 13.
Duke - See Above.
ECU - ECU comes back in the 2nd half vs UAB only to have a player pull a Leon Lett. He ran 55 yards and then gets stripped at the 1 yard line for a touchback with under 1 minute remaining. Pirates Lose at the end, for the second week in a row.
UNC - Joe Dailey continues his horrible INT ratio that he started at Nebraska 2 years ago. He threw 3 picks in leading the Hokies to a blasting of UNC in Chapel Hill, too bad he plays for the Tarheels.
Carolina Panthers - Our last hope for some redemption this weekend, the Panthers played more like pussy-cats getting bitch-slapped by Michael Vick and company.
Is it too early to be wishing for basketball seaosn?

I am seriously considering legal action against NC State. They have been killing my soul in small doses every year since 1987.
I know I-AA apparently doesn’t count, but you have a defending national champion in the west. Just sayin’.
And frankly, after the way State acted before and after the App game, I don’t care if they ever win another game.
If NC football is now defined by a I-AA school then it is a sad, sad day for the state. Come one now we are talking about Big Boy football.
