Wolfpack Nation loses a fan. Brandow Jumps Ship.
Its always a sad day for State Fans Nation when you lose such a long time supporter who has been through the ups and mostly downs of Wolfpack Athletics for the past 20 years but I can understand.
When Chuck Amato got canned no one lobbied harder for their choice of candidate than Brent. He wanted Jerry Glanville in all his black suit and cowboy hat glory (see here) but alas it was not to be.
Glanville just announced that he will be taking the job at Portland State (link) and for those who did not know, Portland State was the pioneer of the Run and Shoot offense.
As fame and fortune somehow continues to allude Mr Brandow, I suspect he is unable to financially contribute the big money donations to both NC State and Portland State and the mystique of Glanville and the tradition at Portland State is too much for any man to overcome. So while I will continue to support new Wolfpack coach Tom O’Brien, there will be one empty spot at the Carter-Finley tailgate sessions as Brent aims his DirecTv dish towards the Northwest in hopes to snag the regional ESPNU broadcast of his Portland State fighting Jerry Glanville’s.

Bitch please. If i was going to jump off the NC Statte bandwagon, i would have bailed back in ‘95.
We dropped the ball not getting Glanville though…he would have virtually guaranteed Dion Sanders and MC Hammer sightings at every game.
