i’m losing two more friends

Well, not too long ago my buddy Thomas left me for Seattle and Microsoft and now two more of my best friends are leaving. My buddy, Mike has taken a step up. He just got a job at Wake Forest University as the Director of Sports Marketing, so a long time, and I mean LOOOONG time Wolfpacker will be a Demon Deacon in two weeks. I’m really proud of him because he has worked harder then anyone I know to get where he is. This will be a great move him and i know he will be successful.

The day before Mike leaves for Winston-Salem, Scott leaves for New York City. It’s been a dream of his and his finacee’s to live and work in NYC and they are following a dream. Jess got a transfer up there, and they now found someone to rent their house so Scott has put in his two weeks notice and is making the plunge! I’m sure he will find a job when he gets up there, but it would be really awesome if it was something to do with music, which is his passion. If anyone knows of any jobs in NYC or people who could help, let me know!

I’m really happy for my two friends although I will miss them a lot, our weekly lunches, visits to the Wild Turkey Lounge, and just hanging out in general. I know we will all keep in touch, and the good thing about them moving is it means more places to visits, I just hope I’ve earned enough vacation time! :)

Good luck guys, I love ya!

awww that was really nice, thanks Ev. It'll be weird to not have all you guys around. It will def. take some getting used to, not having that network of friends to call up and hang with or to run into on the street. but know we'll be ok and look forward to the new adventure and opportunities for all of us. Hell we'll all be back in Raleigh some day to raise the youngin's :)
And really hope you and everyone will use us for a place to stay in the city! you're always welcome
  • Wow, that's awesome news about Mike, he definitely deserves it! Look at the bright side, you'll get tickets to all the WF/State games! On the bad side, you lose all your wolfpack tix.

It's definitely a rough transition losing your close friends. I guess the best thing to realize is that it expands your community and allows you to go to places you probably never would have gone (like a Seahawks game).
