Vacuum Losing Suction? Try Checking This.
For about 6 months our year old Eureka Boss (I heard those Dyson’s are terrible) vacuum has functioned more like a broom than an actual vacuum and with 2 furballs, also known as dogs, that is not a good thing. Instead of actually picking up the hair and dust the once proud Eureka just sort of pushed the hair around. It was quite unbearable but I didnt think after 1 year I’d have to buy a new vacuuming so I was holding out just out of principle. There were dog hair tumble weed’s rolling through here like the old west so I thought it was time to do something. I thought about putting it up on Craigslist and letting some poor sap try his luck with it and than getting a new one but instead we attempted to diagnose the problem. I popped the cover off on the head of vacuum and quickly saw the belt that was supposed to spin the brush was snapped in half. Elmer Fudd like I saw a light bulb above my head. “if the wheel won’t spin, no dirt gets picked up”. An elated Jen ran to Lowe’s and picked up a package of 2 belts for $2 and I quickly snapped it in.
BooYa! The Eureka was quickly sucking the carpet off the floor like the good old days. Just thought I’d share, if your vacuum loses suction, check the belt, maybe your brush has just stopped spinning or the belt is just too stretched.

What?!?! The Dyson RULES! My mom swears by her Oreck, but IMHO it’s a close second.
Hell, you chipped in and got me the Dyson for a wedding present during the “salad days” at WebRankingInteractive. Best present I got. Except my wife, of course (she might be reading this.)
