Some of you may remember my post about Kristin Moon , for those of you who don’t, she is a friend of mine who is well traveled writer and has worked on many pulications from Frommers, MTv, and Newsweek to name a few.

Well, she is back in the US (NYC) and we were talking about what brought her back and how she could be stuck behind a desk. She explained her job and how its not really a desk job and went on to talk about how she doesn’t want to do travel writing for a year or 2.

Appauled that someone could have the chance at my dream job and not want it, I asked “why”?

She promptly responded with this NY Times Article discussing the life of a travel writer - “A Job with Travel, but No Vacation” .

After reading this 2 page article, I can officially say that this job is nothing like I thought it was but call me stubborn, I’d still like to do it.*

*Although maybe not for a Travel Guide company (Lonely Planet, Frommers, MTv, etc)
