I’m gonna start this off by saying I never claim to know too much about politics and that I don’t trust the system (or Gov.) at all. It has all become too convoluted and filled with red tape and while I used to be a John McCain supporter and I still do kind of like him after reading his interview with TechCrunch, I believe at this point my vote is going to Ron Paul. His views seem to align with mine, that less is more. We don’t need more laws and more regulation, we need to cut down the BS and get back to the basics.

I think too often than not in this country people vote based upon a party affiliate. “I’m a Democrat, I like Obama” or “I’m a Republican, I like McCain.” I don’t consider myself either but admit my views tend to lean right a little. I’ve never voted strictly for a particular party affiliate, I’ve always voted on the candidates views and who I think is the most trustworthy. In my opinion its hard to disagree with Ron Paul’s constitutionalist views if you take the time to honestly and unbiasedly read his thoughts and listen to what he has to say. I dont agree with everything he has to say, mainly on his view of Net Nuetrality, but for the most part I like what he says and his track record backs it.

The reason for this post was something that I read this morning, the LA Times reporting that Ron Paul is the largest GOP money raiser of candidate, by a large margin too. I think its really interesting especially considering there is a mass media conspiracy to keep him down !
