Monday Morning Round-up
Too early for college hoops? CollegeHoops.net doesn’t think so. They’re actually counting down the top 144 teams; they actually started in June. They’re at No. 92 right now, which is the Baylor Bears. Fans of former hoops stalwarts at Iowa, Seton Hall, Iowa State, Wake Forest, Cincinnati and Missouri will note that their teams have already been previewed, which is kind of depressing, since they haven’t gotten to, say, Davidson yet.
Anyway as deadspin says “I like Baylor, because they’re coached by Scott Drew, of the Valparaiso family, and not by a guy who, say, accuses the recently murdered of crimes. ”
I am really surprised my blog is not on this list. Aren’t you?
Windows only: Microsoft has just released Windows Live Writer to write to multiple blogs, insert photos, play with maps, and more goodies. Less than 24 hours old, this product is still in beta, so there are sure to be some bugs; plus, you’ve got to download the .NET framework to even get to it. So far I love it, I’m writing this post from it now and it’s gonna be a vital part of my blogging empire!
D’oh! China has banished Homer Simpson, Pokemon and Mickey Mouse from prime time. Beginning Sept. 1, regulators have barred foreign cartoons from TV from 5 to 8 p.m. in an effort to protect China’s struggling animation studios, news reports said Sunday. [via USA Today]
This is what happens when a celebrity (if you can call Boy George a celebrity) gets community service [via CNN]
2001 Nissan Pathfinder has a bug with its ECM (the car’s internal computer) where the check engine lights comes on. I happen to have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder and the light has been on for over a year, seeing as it wont pass inspection with it on, I felt it was probably a good idea to get it taken care of since my inspection was up in AUg 2005 (whoops). If you have this model pathfinder and have the same problem with the error codes, take it to autozone to get it checked out (they will pull the error for free) and then you have to take it to a Nissan dealer to get the check engine light cleared by having the ECM reprogrammed. If you are under 8yr / 80,000 miles, it is covered under the Federal Commisions Warranty, mine was not and it was $100.
Print out this service bulletin so they dont try and screw you

who is making that list at colleghoops.net? whoever it is, is single-handedly destoying any credibility the site might have had. The placement of some of those teams is laughable.
