So I got an email from a friend who’s son is going to NC State. She was asking me about Bowen dorm and I started having flashbacks of my days in the tri-towers (MetCalf).

I remember move in day. 100 degrees, no A/c and only a hella-ton of box fans in every window cooling the 16 floors of Metcalf. Ugh. No A/c (until halfway through sophomore year), had to unplug the phone in order to use the dialup internet that was no provided, I was using my parents AOL. Playing Super Nintendo with 8 guys packed into a suite. Sneaking kegs upstairs in laundry baskets, that was some heavy laundry to take 2 guys to carry. Water balloon fights with the suite across the hall that eventually turned into buckets of water fights and a mini waterfall down the back stairwell. “Borrowing” the Christmas tree from Owen Dorm…at 3am.

ahh man dorm days were lots of fun, well at least the times when your psychotic roomate was at a mental hospital.
