Getting Old Sucks
Getting Old Sucks, and I’m not talking about getting old where I can’t get out of bed w/o hearing 35 joints crack, I’m talking about getting old to the point where all your friends have their own lives. It’s the day after New Years and its about 60o outside, I had the great idea to try and get some friends together to play basketball out at the park. It was a great idea, but thats about it, as usual I only got one person that was interested, my reliable sports buddy Brent. He’s always down to play but unfortunately none of my other friends are. I understand they have their own lives and stuff to do but it just sucks.
Back in college, it took a whole 20 minutes to get enough people to play 4 on 4. Call one person, IM another, and bamm you have a complete hoops game ready to go.
This has to be the worst part about getting old. No one to play with ![]()

Unfortunately thats part of what happens when we get married and/or start working.
In your friends defense, I’m sure you don’t come running out of your house for everthing you’re friends invite you to. Goes both ways.
Yea im not in anyway blaming my friends, i know its part of life, it just sucks.
I’m usually up for any kind of playing outdoors though, i just can’t resist
