I think I missed my calling
I’m slow. I’m white. I’m not very smart. But I think I should have played college football somewhere. I know it sounds a little ridiculous, especially for those who have met me, but I can explain.
Every Saturday I get together with these guys and play a few hours of flag football. It ranges between 15-25 guys from all shapes, sizes and athletic ability. We have former college players and current high school players to slow over-weight people like myself just looking for a good time. Every week there are a few new people out there and this week was no different.
We picked teams (I was the #2 pick baby), played quick games to 3 and rotated so everyone gets to play. There are only a few people out there that are decent quarterbacks and enjoy playing the position. We do have one former college QB at NC Central, but I don’t think he likes to play QB unless he has to. Anyway, after we got done I was talking to a few guys and come to find out one of the guys we were playing against was a senior QB at Durham Hillside, Mike Johnson.
I would have never guessed he was a high school QB and when I found out he just signed a LOI to play QB at the University of Tulsa I was even more surprised. He was a little shorter than me and he could throw the ball pretty well but didn’t show me anything to make me think he’d be a D1 QB. Of course maybe it was the fact that we were just playing flag football and he wasn’t trying very hard because his senior year at Durham Hillside he threw for 27 TDs only 5 INTs and over 3,000 yards. That is pretty impressive.
I never played high school football but know I can throw the ball far enough, accurate enough and make good enough decisions that if this kid can play for Tulsa, I could have played somewhere at the least D2. And assuming I dropped 25lbs I could be just quick enough to move around.
While I may have missed my calling as a QB, I plan on keeping an eye on what Mr Mike Johnson does at Tulsa. I found his scout.com profile here if anyone is interested.

I wish I could play little league now. I’d be way better than before.

I agree with 3/4 of your assertions.
