I have a tiny obsession with the greatest player to ever wear an NC State uniform, Philip Rivers, and tonight he got his first win as a NFL Starter (27 – 0 over the Raiders) and I watched every snap. The Chargers didn’t need to use him that much because they have the machine that they call LT, but when they called on him he threw passes on a dime like a 10 year NFL veteran. He ended with 8-11 for 108yards and a TD. Solid.

The best part about it, he gave a little lip to to 300lb Warren Sapp. I’ve played basketball against Rivers while at NC State and one thing I know is he is competitive and doesn’t mind talking some trash and we all know I’m just as intimidating as Warren Sapp.

PS – The NC State football team is good at something; beating down 6 foot tall out of shape white guys at intramurral hoops. I never had success shooting over 6 foot 7in, Willie Wright & Co.
