Yeah I guess it’s better to sit at home and not go to a Bowl and have your TV Ratings be 0. Guess the guys on that State blog had a lot of time on their hands over the holiday with their team sulking at home.
oh well, it’s the never ending comparison and battle btw State and ECU.
You’re exactly right. And their academic standards are lower too. How can we compete with that, I mean the “ACC” is all we are.
And while we’re on the subject, we should always play 1-AA teams instead of ECU. Lower interest, lower game attendance is great!!!!

not sure what you are trying to say will, but State was sold out for EVERY game this season even with a 3-9 team where ECU can barely fill that lopsided stadium.
and the academic part, i have no clue what you are referencing b/c ECU takes partial qualifiers, the ACC does not.
ECU is that kid in your neighborhood that you made fun of, but were forced to play with because your Mothers played bridge together.
Being virtually ignored is way worce than being hated.

NCSU games weren’t even close to full unless the fans came dressed for halloween as empty seats.

vs APP Attendance: 57583
vs Akron Attendance: 56103
vs BV Attendance: 57583
vs FSU Attendance: 57437
vs Wake Attendance: 55972
vs GaTech Attendance: 56837
vs ECU Attendance: 54264
now for a 58,000 Seat stadium that is pretty full especially for having a 3-9 team. Shockingly the lowest attendance was for ECU. hmmm why? maybe b/c no one cares!

THE ECU game was 54,263 ECU fans and 1 State fan who got lost on his way to the still. I saw more purple in the stands then a Barney convention.

take a historical look at the percentage of sold out games of state vs ECU and you’ll be embarassed. I was at ECU during those Thompson years, and the place was EMPTY.

Now maybe I’m blind but that looks pretty packed to me.
Time for some glasses then b/c the red color of the seats can easily be mistaken for an actual body in the stands, just looks full. All an illusion.
And if the attendance was down at the ECU vs. State game it’s only b/c State fans are afraid to act like they care when they play ECU in case they lose. ECU was proudly represented at that game.

the majority of the seats are carter finley are silver metal bleachers, not red seats (which are only in the endzone). And if you think those are seats rather then actual people you are retarded.

Even with a sorry ass Amato coached team we still packed the stadium for EVERY game. So while you make excuses for having an empty stadium during the Thompson years, I make points that even with a poor team (3-9) State fans packed Carter Finley.

I agree with Will. I was at the ECU game and the attendance of the NC State faithful was woeful at best.
So i agree with Will that State fans pretty much ignored the ECU game…almost as if we don’t give a rat’s ass about ECU.
Funny how the ECU contingent does a far better job of proving their detractors right than actually making vadlid points.

State didnt show up to the ECU game because they knew they would get whipped and didnt want to see it. It was also Thanksgiving weekend and the students were gone. Everyone knows if this game was played in September like it was traditionally it would have been the new attendance record at CF.
The only thing I’ll give Ev credit for here is that he pulled us in in attempt to generate traffic to his Blog. Way to go in getting readers engaged!
