The Wolfpack Makes Me Cry
Please tell me what in the hell Marcus Stone was in the game for? Does Chuck want to see how many positions Stone can screw up?
There is no pain like the pain of being an NC State fan and I will go through the rest of my life with this burden. A day after the Wolfpack basketball team squeaks by Div II Northen State by 7 pts, the football team took the field against Calvin Johnson and the #15 GT Yellow Jackets. To keep a long story short, I will say that the Pack was in this game but continuing the theme that plagues the Amato era, the Wolfpack beat themselves yet again. Sure, Calvin Johnson is the best WR in the land, but he didn’t force the pack into 9 penalties for about 100 yards, or force Stone and a plethora of other recievers to drop balls (10 dropped balls) that should have been caught. I’m looking at you Anthony Hill (And Stone). Willie Wright wouldn’t have dropped those!
This makes 21 straight games where the Wolfpack has been held to 24 points or less. The pack is 10-11 in that stretch. Hmm, I wonder what the problem could be. With the talent and athletes the Wolfpack has on offense this type of incompetent offensive coaching is unacceptable. You can’t honestly tell me Wake Forest (who is going to win the Division) has better talent then the Pack, I just don’t buy it.
I guess its just something we have to live with. Perpetual disappointment. I don’t even know what to say anymore. I need a DVR for Wolfpack sports, so I can just fast foward through the rest of the season (with what looks like unavoidable losses to clemson, unc and ecu) and cruise on through the upcoming basketball season.
PS - I hate instant reply. The refs seem to be more dependent on it then usual and their calls are getting worse and worse all around the league. The NFL officials don’t seem to be this bad, why are the college ones?
