Tonight we succesfully defended our Morrisville Softball title to make the Slammers, Back-To-Back champs. We are going for the Three-peat in the fall!

This year the teams were more balanced then last year and we had a pretty competitive season all the way down to tonight. We lost the first game in the bottom of the 7th down one with a man on I hit a pretty good shot towards the shortstop who banged it off his wrist and then caught it. Being the #1 seed we had to lose twice tonight and that wasnt happening. We jumped right on them in the 2nd game and took a 11-2 lead and never looked back. They attemped to chip away but we played excellent defense and held out for the win 13-8.

We have a pretty solid team, but with all the rain cancellations and the bye week we haven’t been playing every week and it took us a few innings to shake the rust off. Regardless, we got it done!

I’ve hit better towards the end of the season (when it matters and tonight was 4 for 6 with 5 RBIs. Not bad for my terrible game!
