Amazing Race
So most people who know me, know I love traveling more then just about everything, well maybe not everything but pretty close. While I can’t travel all the time, I love watching the Amazing Race on CBS just to see all of the cool places they go but every season they have the same type of people and it gets kind of old.

There are always:
The hot blonde and her tall boyfriend- whom everyone refers to as Ken and Barbie
The Geriatric old couple who always says they are strong and witty, but then end up spending an hour on a 100yard long bridge looking for the clue box with a BIG RED FLAG on it. The proceed to complain they are always out of it, when they are actually lucky to even be upright and walking and possibly with their own teeth!
The black couple, who ironically last season was the ‘Blacks’, yes that was their name, I think the producers wanted to play a cruel joke just so people could call them ‘The Blacks’
The good looking girls who dress alike. There are always 2 good looking girls who seem to look like sisters and flirt their way through half the race until they actually have to do something, break a nail, cry and go home.
The annoying old ladies or Amazonian women as they referred to themselves this year. High pitched, loud, stupid, annoying and most likely won last long, Thankfully
The Gay Guys. This season they were extremely passive and got booted early (ie episode 1) Mildly entertaining with their extremely homosexual antics, these guys were just annoying and have now gone back to Cali or some other state where then can legally ‘celebrate life’
And the best for last. The Southern couple. This not quite redneck but not quite sane couple maybe the most annoying in history. Every season they have one. You know the couple where the guy always blames his woman, never lets her speak, and then gets extremely over-excited at every little task/detour/ or idiot comment his wife makes. Its more sad then anything to think that there are females out there who actually put up with this crap.

ColdFusion
As I sat here and watched the Amazing Race and dreamed that the lady and I were on running the race, although we may kill each other after, I was working on my new project. I am attempting to learn ColdFusion. Its a web programming language for those who do not know. I used to be fairly good with database creation, asp and simple coding, after all it was my concentration at NC State. The problem is I havent’t kept up with any of it so I’m basically starting from scratch. I am happy to say that in one day I’ve setup MySql, Cold Fusion Server, created a database, and got my web pages to pull all of the info out of the db and onto the page. I’m pretty stoked about that. I’m not trying to become an expert but I want to have a simple understanding of it for some projects Labitat is working on :), but I also want to be able to develop simple applications mainly just for fun.

Chocolate
Lent starts tomorrow and I’m giving up chocolate. Convienently suggested by my bride which I know is b/c I found her secret Nutella stash! 40 days without chocolate, this is gonna be rough, but i’ll probably lose 10lbs! What are you giving up???

Pros vs Joes.
ESPN is promoting this new show that I have got to see. It is pro athletes vs your average joe schmoe in certain events. The commecial shows some poor sap taking a beating from Dennis Rodman while trying to out rebound him. I’d like to get on this show and see how I do vs a pro in a 3pt contest, Long driving contest, and a Punt Pass and Kick contest.
