Personal Dilemma, I need Your Advice
So I have a personal dilemma and I need your advice. Its not a life of death situation but I have been racking my brain over this and I still haven’t come to a decision yet.
For one of my many liquid holiday gifts (more on that later) I received an amazing bottle of whiskey. Jameson and Son’s Middleton Whiskey 2003! This triple distilled bottle is only made in small quantities and I’m not sure I’m even worthy enough to have this let alone drink it.
In all the excitement of getting the package and reading the invitation to come personally catalog the bottle at the distillery in Ireland, I almost cracked the top and took a swallow. After I called my gift giver to express my gratitude, I came down from my high and decide to think about what I wanted to do.
After a few hours, I’ve come up with nothing so these are my options
1. Crack it open, have a glass and save the rest for a special occasion
2. Don’t drink it, and hide it from all my grubby friends’ paws and save it for a special occasion.
3. Pop the top and share it with every whiskey drinking friend I know.
4. Or Down the bottle in one sitting for a helluva post-New Year’s celebration?

Drink it! Although I shouldn’t talk, I don’t have the same respect for a quality drink that you do. Be selfish though. Don’t share

Drink it in small quantities, and save for special occasions.

I have done all the options you mentioned above. And I have always enjoyed drinking better than saving. Think of anything to celebrate. Invite a few good friends over. Drink it all in one night.
I would save it for a special occasion. But the question is, do you have any special occasion coming any time soon
Just a little update. I cracked it open this past weekend and had a glass..soooo good. Def worth saving the rest for some good times with friends…
I say save it for the Superbowl party. But it’s yours so do with it what you want. You’d probably have to pay me to drink it. lol
